7News reported that the Court of Appeals of Virginia did not rule on whether the ordinance itself is valid. Instead, the court found the homeowners should have included the developers holding EHO permits in their lawsuit, and it sent the case back to Arlington Circuit Court. The homeowners asked for a stay of the ruling.
“Zoning affects land prices. Simply put, land that is zoned for more density is more expensive, much more expensive,” Christine Brittle told 7News.
